Who we are

Winesweeper is an independent daily game with one well rated supermarket wine hidden under the board. It is run from the United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected].

The Friday email

If you sign up, we collect your email address. You sign up by ticking to confirm you are 18 or over and pressing Sign me up. The lawful basis is your consent.

We use your email for one thing: to send you the Friday email. We will not sell it, share it, or use it for anything else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can email us to be removed at any time.

Sign ups are stored by Resend, an email service, which also delivers the emails. We keep your address only for as long as you stay subscribed.

The game

The game remembers your results, your streak and whether you have seen How to play in your own browser. None of it is sent to us. Clearing your browser's data for this site wipes it.

Cookies

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies, does not track individual visitors, and does not collect personal data. We do not set cookies of our own.

Links to shops

When you click through to a shop, that site sets its own cookies and applies its own privacy policy. We are not paid for the click.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our reply, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
